Rubber Foam Pipe Insulation is a flexible, closed-cell thermal insulation material made primarily from nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) through a foaming process. It is specifically designed for insulating pipes and duct systems, offering excellent performance in thermal insulation, condensation control, and energy conservation.
With its closed-cell structure, the material effectively prevents the penetration of water vapor, providing a built-in vapor barrier that eliminates the need for additional protective layers. This makes it particularly suitable for cold and hot water piping systems, HVAC systems, refrigeration lines, and air conditioning installations.
The product is soft and highly flexible, allowing easy installation even around complex pipe layouts, bends, and joints. It can be easily cut and fitted on-site, significantly reducing installation time and labor costs.
Key Features:
Excellent Thermal Insulation Performance:
Low thermal conductivity effectively reduces heat loss and improves energy efficiency.
Closed-Cell Structure:
Provides superior resistance to water vapor transmission, preventing condensation and moisture buildup.
High Flexibility:
Easy to install on curved or irregular surfaces without cracking or deformation.
Fire Resistance:
Typically meets fire safety standards such as Class 0 or Class 1, with self-extinguishing properties.
Good Aging Resistance:
Maintains stable performance over long-term use without hardening or shrinking.
Sound Absorption:
Helps reduce noise transmission in piping systems.
Eco-Friendly & Safe:
Free from fiber dust, non-irritating, and safe for installation personnel.
Typical Technical Parameters (General Range):
Density: 40–80 kg/m³
Thermal Conductivity:
≤0.034 W/m·K (at 0°C)
≤0.038 W/m·K (at 40°C)
Water Vapor Permeability: ≤10⁻⁹ g/(m·s·Pa)
Operating Temperature Range: -50°C to +110°C
Fire Rating: Class B1 / Class 0 (depending on standard)
(Parameters may vary depending on formulation and product grade.)
