Our Formaldehyde-Free & Acrylic-Free Glass Wool is a high-performance thermal and acoustic insulation material manufactured using an innovative bio-based binder system. Unlike traditional glass wool, it contains no formaldehyde and no acrylic (acrylate) binders, ensuring zero emissions of hazardous volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and no residual irritants.
Key Features
Binder Technology: Uses a plant-based, acrylic-free, formaldehyde-free thermosetting binder that is non-toxic and environmentally safe.
No Formaldehyde: Eliminates the risk of formaldehyde off-gassing, protecting indoor air quality.
No Acrylic: Avoids acrylic resins, which can cause skin or respiratory irritation in sensitive individuals.
Fire Safety: Non-combustible, Class A fire rating (ASTM E84 / EN 13501-1 A1).
Thermal Performance: Excellent thermal conductivity (e.g., 0.032–0.040 W/m·K), providing high energy efficiency.
Acoustic Absorption: Superior sound absorption coefficient (NRC up to 0.95 for appropriate thickness/density).
Resilience & Handling: Soft, elastic, and easy to cut/install without itching or dust issues associated with traditional binder systems.
Health & Environmental Benefits
Occupant Safety: Zero VOC emission, ideal for hospitals, schools, nurseries, and green buildings.
Installer Friendly: No skin or respiratory irritation, reducing need for heavy protective gear.
Sustainable: Made from recycled glass (typically >40–80% post-consumer recycled content) and fully recyclable.
Applications
Residential and commercial building insulation (walls, attics, floors).
HVAC duct liners and pipe insulation.
Acoustic panels and soundproofing systems.
Industrial equipment insulation (low to medium temperature range, up to 250°C/480°F).
